Youth Board
We want to create a safe space for young people to discuss the disparities that they face to better shape the future of Mary Seacole House services and all services available to young people across Merseyside.
If you’re a young person aged between 18-26 from a culturally diverse community who is passionate about mental health and having your voice heard please get in touch to join! Board Members will play an active role in shaping Mary Seacole House services by contributing to conversations around race and mental health, taking part in projects and ensuring young voices are represented within the charity.
By joining the Board you can expect to..
- Have your voice heard and campaign for change
- Gain valuable experience with guidance from mental health professionals working within the sector
- Improve your knowledge around mental health, race, culture and understanding your rights
- Shape our organisation by providing feedback and discussing ideas on how we can tackle health inequalities for young people
- Opportunities for self-development including training and learning new skills
- Meet new people and develop a peer support
Board members will be reimbursed for any out of pocket expenses such as travel/meals if needed.
If you do not meet the criteria but are interested in contributing in some capacity please email Chloe, she would love to arrange a meeting to discuss any potential partnership opportunities.
